The "E" team, winners of the 2010 Wendland Memorial:
Ellen Horner, Ed Caycedo, sEth Kopald, and Eric Schmidt.
The 2010 Wendland Memorial was played under a novel format,
with three teams competing in a round-robin format in which a team that gave
up a goal left the field, and the third team came on. The "E" team was the
first to reach 10 goals, and thus were declared the winners. The round-robin
was umpired by Bill Matheson, with no timekeeper necessary due to the format,
but as a result no record was kept of the individual scoring statistics.
It's probably safe to say that Seth Kopald led his team in scoring. The Red
team of Raza Kazmi, Mit Carothers, Mike Matz, and Andy O'Byrne was the second
to reach 10 goals after Taylor Freeman replaced Matz, and the "W" team of
Evan Matheson, Brian Smallwood, Will Traver, Wesley Bryan, and William
Matheson came on strong at the end to create a three-way tie at 10, at which
point everyone thought that was a perfect place to stop.
